End of March Claire attended at New York's Gramercy Theater "A Work in Progress: An Evening With Sofia Coppola" honoring the
Lost in Translation Oscar winner.

The Guardian featured a story about movies that changed the life of Hollywood stars. Claire was moved by Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing. In her eyes Lee created a frustratingly balanced portrayal of the inhabitants of a New York neighborhood community struggling with denial and ignorance. They are confronted with prejudice and intolerance in an atmosphere of racial tension. The enormous scope of the movie from comic over tragic, romantic and operatic to political inspired her profoundly. She first wanted the director to provide a resolution to the conflicts. Instead of delivering an easy ending he challenges the imagination.

Claire attended the Olympus Fashion Week for the fall collection 2004 in New York. As usual, she appeared at the shows of her favorite designers Zac Posen and Narciso Rodriguez. She was accompanied by her good friend and former Yale room- mate Maya Goldsmith.

In an article titled "Rise of the Golden Girls", the Sunday London Times reported about the increasing paychecks of Hollywood's actresses. Director Jonathan Mostow offered Claire US$ 5 Million to join the cast of T3. He just couldn't resist the thought of her being in a Terminator movie.

Release date of
Shopgirl is set to this year's Christmas Day.
